We Are All "Works in Progress"
As a self-proclaimed life-long learner, I am big into personal development and growth. Many of us have personal insecurities that keep us from being the most successful version of ourselves and this has never been more apparent to me than when I began the process of building Theory Beyond Design.
I've shared some of these insecurities with you via email or social media but most I haven't. I've written about dealing with paralyzing perfectionism, trying new things, and finding inspiration for new designs or techniques. What about lack of self-confidence, caring too much what others think of you, or even comparing yourself to others to the point of jealousy? We've all been there (or are there) and we all know that little good comes of it.
I will be the first to admit that these issues have been a much bigger hindrance to growth than wondering if I have the right business cards or booth layout at market.
These are some of the big ticket items I've been working on personally and professionally but I haven't really shared much about the content I consume over the past year that is slowly helping me get through them. In case any of you might find these sources useful, I am including a short list of some of the YouTube channels, podcasts, and books that have pushed me through some self-confidence low points. Not all of it is for me but some of it has really helped. Take what works for you and go for it!

Ultimately, it's up to us to make the changes but they don't happen overnight. Every step we take towards creating a better version of ourselves makes the time worth it.
